How does the idea of hacking into an N900 sound to you? If exciting is your answer, then the folks at PUSH N900 have something more to offer you: they are willing to pay you for the hack! Yeah, that’s right, they are giving away some cold hard cash for the top 3 hacks of N900. Now you should be wondering, what’s the catch here, right? There is not one but two: the first one being that this one is an US only contest; and second being that your hack has to be innovative or as our friends at Nokia Conversations put it “brilliantly innovative”. Go figure out what that means!

If you have been following N900, you would have probably heard of PUSH N900 is a Nokia team which first invited hacker teams from around the world, to get some more juice out of their N900s. Juice, which we didn’t know existed within N900 but it existed hidden within it somewhere. Presently, the top 5 teams are now battling it out for supremacy with each project being given shape in reality. Taking a leaf from this success story, the PUSH N900 team is now taking the challenge to US hackers and boy, they have some sweet candies for the US folks: US $10,000 for the winner, $5,000 for second and $3,000, for third. Step 1: Get a team and ponder over a “brilliantly innovative” idea. Now we all know there are still certain things that our N900 is not able to do or doesn’t do it that well. Once you figure out what you want to do, put into words and send over your entries to PUSH N900 guys.(Last date 15th February 2010, so get working guys!)

Step 2: Now make the transition from paper to work, meaning get your idea working. You can always rely on PUSH N900 team to help you out via their forum but yeah you gotta lose some sweat over it.

Step 3: If the judges from PUSH N900 deem your efforts to be one of the top 3 hacks, you will not only get the prize money, but will also get to fly to CTIA to present your idea in March.

Well, am no hacker but I wouldn’t mind getting some coder friends of mine to help me out in the hack. I only need to come up with something innovative which the N900 doesn’t do yet but can be made to do one with a simple hack. I am  raking my brains already, have you?
