N900-movies-300x1254Well, those are not my words but of John of Tehkseven.net, who has been very active in YouTube off late, with his amazingly hilarious gigs on N900. He is definitely one of the funniest gadget guys you can find on the web out there and if you haven’t checked his YouTube videos on N900, you should straight away head there, starting from the Stress tests on N900.

Now, if you dare to put your N900 to such acts, go ahead and let us know what happened to them but I would definitely refrain some such tests and will be more than happy to just watch someone else’s N900 take the beating! Anyway, coming back to this post, John has done a video review of the default music player of the N900 and yeah he covers most of the things I had to say about the player . So, hit that jump button to say what John has to say about default music player on N900 and couple of my observations towards the end.

Told you he is hilarious guy, didn’t I? Anyway coming back to N900’s music player, I just love the drag-n-drop sync feature, which has been a standard with most of the Nokia phones and the N900 is no exception. However, what bothers me is the inconsistency in displaying album art. For some unknown reason, my N900 trial unit merged the album art for two of my albums, even when the meta-data had different album arts for the two albums in question.

Apart from the absence of equaliser, my biggest concern with music player is the lack of consistency in organazing music. Used to my iPod and iPhone where just a couple of taps is what’s needed to find the track in question, N900 music browsing experience was a let down. Let’s hope, some developer realises this faux and comes up with some plugins or add-ons, if not a dedicated music player for the N900
