Facebook, AIM and MSN Now on Conversations

Maemo 5 is known for its seamless integration of Social Networking Services and VoIP clients within it’s OS and guess what it just got better. With addition of AIM, Facebook and MSN Live, Maemo 5 now covers almost the entire spectrum of the available VoIP services.

Before you get all excited about these services, let me tell you that these can be added via Extra Protocol Plugins for Conversations and Contacts, which are presently available in the Extras-testing repository in the N900 App Manager. Foursquare Heading to N900

FoursquareFoursquare! What the heck is Foursquare? That’s exactly the same question I asked myself, when I first read about it at Nokia Experts. Apparently Matt from NE has been testing the beta version of the app and has been given the thumbs up from the developers to spill some info on the app, ahead of its release.

Facebook on N900: Is it all Fun or Frustrating?

n900-facebookHaving decided to move on to my “yet to be shipped” N900 for most of my web browsing as and when it arrives, I wanted to see how does my favourite online activity, yeah you guessed it right, ‘facebook‘ing fares on the N900.

I have had enough of those annoying “facebook videos are presently not compatible with iPhone/iPod Touch” warnings from my iPhone and am really looking forward to the facebook experience on the N900. The flash support on the Mozilla based browser on the N900 is the talk of the town these days and even Engadget has gone ahead and declared this the best browser in mobile segment today. Coming from Engadget who are known to be critical of almost anything that is not Apple, the internet capability of N900 speaks volumes for itself.
