Now that Nokia was prompt with their Ovi store release, let me now come to one of the most happening segments in the N900 circles, that is other than the folks going gaga over the ovi store. As I had mentioned in the previous post, the N900 needs some boost in the gaming segment for the hardware can definitely handle some high end 3D graphics as seen on Bounce Evolution.

Is Bounce Evolution the end of 3D gaming on N900? Definitely not. We have already seen some fragging action, thanks to Quake 3 on N900, and now its the turn of other baddies to land on the N900. Buckle up, for Stratagus aka Warcraft 2 and Starcraft have landed on the N900 and thats not all of it, even DOOM the classic first person shooter game is now accessible via your N900. iPhone and iPod Touch beware. There’s a new kid on the block and it’s going to kick some transistor butt.

The Nokia N900 boasts of raw computing power so much so that the unit is not only being labeled as a portable computer but a portable gaming device too.

Watch the video below of Quake 3 being played on the Nokia N900 phone and is connected to a bigger screen via the TV-out that comes with the Nokia N900 package.

The graphics are truly awesome. The animation is smooth. The sounds are superb.

Also there is a demo of the multi-player feature of Quake 3. You have got to watch it to believe it.
